“Giving to the UNIS Fund supports the excellent academic education and environment in which our children learn and experience how we believe people from all over the world should interact: with acceptance and appreciation of difference and tolerance for all.”
Stuart Rosow and Amy Kuhn (sons T1, T3 and UNIS Class of ’12)
Nearly 200 UNIS Queens and Manhattan students have the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall at 2:00 p.m. on January 26th, 2014. One of the pieces they will perform is composed by UNIS music teacher Michael Fahie.
I am a current parent, why is my participation important?
Participation in the UNIS Fund demonstrates our shared commitment to support our school. Sustained giving and a high level of parent participation play a key role in enabling us to approach governments, corporations and foundations, all of which want to know what percentage of parents give to the UNIS Fund.
How much should I give?
Families are asked to make a meaningful gift within their means. UNIS is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization under U.S. law and donations are fully tax deductible. Check with your tax advisor for eligibility. Many employers have a matching gift policy that can double or triple the amount of a donation by an employee or their spouse. Ask your HR department for their matching gift policy.
I am an alumni, why is my participation important?
Alumni tell us that their time at UNIS was transformative. Just as gifts to the UNIS Fund supported your education in your years at UNIS, your gift supports today’s students as they embark on their journey. Alumni gifts to the UNIS Fund help sustain the hallmarks of an international education and signal to outside supporters that you truly value your UNIS experience.
What if I cannot afford to make a large gift?
Every gift of every size is an important, meaningful and deeply appreciated gift. We ask all members of our community to support the UNIS Fund at a level commensurate with their ability to give.
What is a recurring gift?
Recurring gifts allow donors to make an annual pledge to the UNIS Fund and pay their gift in monthly installments through pre-authorized payments. Check the recurring gift box on the gift envelope and indicate what months you wish to pay installments towards your UNIS Fund gift.
How do I make a gift to The UNIS Fund?
UNIS accepts gifts of cash, checks and stock, as well as Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Credit card gifts can be made online at www.unis.org. On the front page, press the Ways To Give button.
