All donors who indicate that UNIS is part of their estate plans become members of the U Thant Society. To Honor the United Nations connection to UNIS and the revered Secretary General's vision for peace and collaboration between peoples of the world, the U Thant Society is named for those members of the community whose generosity and foresight provide for the future of UNIS through a will, bequest or other planned gift.

These donors have named UNIS as the ultimate beneficiary of a forward planned gift. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, or gifts of life insurance.
