As we begin our 2012-2013 school year we have partnered with Adams Book Company, Inc. for our book distribution beginning this fall semester. Our new virtual bookstore can be found on the web at www.k12studentdirect.com. Using our new virtual bookstore will be fast, easy, and will eliminate waiting in line. Adams has demonstrated itself to be a reliable and experienced educational distributor in business for over 60 years.
Beginning on July 16, 2012, you will be able to order your books online and have them delivered directly to your home. Adams has announced there will be a limited amount of used books on selected titles. These used books will be available on a first come first serve basis. Therefore we recommend that your book order be placed early in the summer. Some of the books may also be available in a digital version (eBook). If UNIS chooses to use the electronic version of a title, instructions will be provided on how to read online or download to your electronic devices.
A word of warning: The Student Direct Online Bookstore is our official online book service. If you search the web for new or used books, please pay special attention to ISBN numbers when ordering from other book companies. We can easily assist you if there is an issue with K12 Student Direct. We are unable to assist you when problems arise with another Internet bookseller.

Placing Your Order
First-Time Shoppers
Simply logon to www.k12studentdirect.com, create an account, enter your course codes, select your books, and choose your shipping method. Adams will deliver the books wherever you prefer in the continental United States.
Ordering through our virtual bookstore requires that you have access to a computer with an Internet connection. If you do not have access to a computer linked to the Internet either at home or at work, you may check with your local library or the school will arrange access through our computers. Please check with the school office for scheduled access times.

When Can I Place My Order?
www.k12studentdirect.com will open for ordering on July 16. The site will remain open twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week. We encourage you to order as early aspossible in the summer.
Payment Method
The easiest way to pay for your order is to use a credit card. Adams maintains the highest level of encryption technology so that your credit card information remains safe and private.
If you choose not to use a credit card, you can still order your books online but will have the option to pay by money order. You will then be required to send in your money order with a printout of your online ‘shopping cart.’ Your books will ship upon receipt of your money order.

Customer service hours during the ordering season are Monday through Thursday (EST) 8:30AM to 10PM and Friday 8:30AM to 5PM. You will also be able to contact Adams via email and Live Chat through the website.
Returns
You may return books to Adams within 30 days of the school’s add/drop date or invoice date, whichever is later. Books returned for refund must be in new, resalable condition – no writing, no highlighting, no names in the books etc.
