The Middle School offers many opportunities for students to serve the school, local, and international communities. Students work closely with their teachers to create projects which address a wide range of issues. This year, the Middle School raised over $3,000 for UNICEF through the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Program. This money will help provide meals, immunizations, educational materials, and emergency supplies to children around world. We hope that next year we will be able to collect the $4,500 needed to build a village well.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we are again participating in the City Harvest Food Drive. Each homeroom has been collecting non-perishable food items to help feed New Yorkers in need.
Please check the website in the coming weeks and months to find out about other projects in which your child might like to participate. In addition, if students are interested in establishing new service programs, the faculty is always available to help them organize their ideas.
