UNIS offers an Annual IB Teacher Training in July. All Workshop Leaders are I.B Chief Examiners or Deputy Chief Examiners and members of subject committees and authors of curriculum development. Topics include: use of new and traditional materials and methods, international curriculum, independent projects, labs, guided course work, extended essays, integration of skills and content.

The Care Program provides a dependable daily program in a warm and safe environment. The Care Program is offered every day from 2:45PM to 6:00PM in Manhattan Campus and from 3:00PM to 6:45PM in Queens Campus.

The Middle School Care Program is offered for Middle School Students every school day from 3PM to 6PM.

During the Spring Break, we offer two weeks of Soccer and Basketball Clinic. In addition we offer a Care Program with a variety of activities every day from 8:30 AM to 5:00PM.

The Summer Program offers a day-camp program for 4 to 14 year-old students. It includes an intensive sports program and a variety of artistic activities. It also offers intensive English as a Second Language Program. Students coming from abroad have the opportunity to enjoy the Cultural Enrichment Program.

The After School Program offers 60 different activities each week, ranging from Sports, Capoeira, Rhythmic Gymnastic, Arts and Crafts, Ceramics & Pottery, Computer, Chess Club, House Building, Sewing & Embroidery, Hands on Science, Drama, French/Spanish in Action, Ballet, Photography, Driver Education, Fitness and Weight Training, Jazz Dancing, etc.

The Mother Tongue Program provides instruction for J1 to M2 students who already possess good oral and comprehensive skills in the language and need to work on their reading and writing skills. We offer classes in: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish.
