Greetings and welcome to United Nations International
School. Every day students and staff from all over the world teach,
learn and grow here together. Lessons learned and friendships made
are long lasting, as our alumni regularly assure us. And the excitement
and stimulation of this international, culturally diverse environment
never becomes dulled by familiarity. Day after day, year after year,
it remains a fresh experience. |

| UNIS students are challenged academically, and in all
other ways, to become the best they can be. Our modern, bright and
spacious school in Manhattan and our smaller "familial" campus in
Queens, are both sequestered in lovely locations. The richness of
New York City is all around us yet we are removed from the hurly burly
of mid-city life. |

Inspired by the ideals of the United Nations, our school
serves children and youth from the UN community, the diplomatic corps,
the non-governmental international sector and local New York families.
It is an extraordinary microcosm of a world for which all peace loving
people yearn.
