A Pre-K-to-12th grade, coeducational, college-preparatory day school, the United Nations International School (UNIS) was established in 1947 by a group of United Nations parents to provide an international education for their children, while preserving their diverse cultural heritages.

UNIS arts programs offer opportunities for studio practice, problem solving, and cultural investigation through classical and contemporary music, acting, directing, and playwriting, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, computer graphics, and digital photography.

UNIS has an extensive Athletics program, running across three distinct seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring for students in 7th-12th grades, M3-Tut 4), and consists of 38 school teams.

Amanda Dubois

Secretary of the Board

Amanda Dubois has been an independent commercial theater producer since 2004, a member of the Broadway League since 2005, and serves on the Advisory Council of the American Theatre Wing. Ms. Dubois' most recent production was the 2024 Tony Award winning production of Appropriate starring Sarah Paulson. Her other credits include: Broadway: The Wiz, Lehman Trilogy (2022 Tony Award Best Play), Grace, Spring Awakening (2007 Tony Award Best Musical, Drama Desk Award), ‘night Mother. Off-Broadway: Small Mouth Sounds, Shotspeare, Traces. National Tour: The Wiz, Small Mouth Sounds, Shotspeare, Traces, Spring Awakening. Ms. Dubois has several shows in various stages of development including a new musical Dust and Shadow about Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper.
