Fernando Gutierrez-Eddy is an investor, advisor, and builder focused on scaling breakthrough technologies that enhance human productivity and global connectivity. After nearly two decades at the United Nations, he re-entered the private sector during the COVID pandemic to partner with visionary founders solving critical challenges at scale.

As founder and CEO of Ripple Impact Investments, Fernando backs early-stage teams developing deep tech solutions in generative AI, augmented and virtual realities, quantum computing, alternative energy (nuclear fusion, solar), biotechnology, and space exploration. He combines capital with hands-on advisory to help founders transform bold ideas into sustainable companies with real-world impact.
At the UN, Fernando held senior leadership roles at UNICEF and UN Women, driving global financing strategies, collaborative public and private sector funding partnerships, and field resource mobilization support across 150+ countries. His work spanned development and humanitarian sectors, generating over $2.5 billion for outcomes in education, health, child protection, and emergency response.

With 25+ years leading growth in Fortune 500 firms and multilateral institutions, Fernando is known for strategic clarity, results-driven execution, and building win-win alliances across diverse stakeholders.

A Mexican national who grew up in the UK, with a BA from the University of St Andrews, he holds a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard and an MBA from Georgetown University. He serves in several educational boards. Fernando is a passionate golfer, fiction writer, and proud father of three, one of whom graduated from UNIS.
