Mauricio Barberi is a corporate and nonprofit board member; school trustee; strategic advisor to VC/PE firms and their portfolio companies; and digital-savvy marketing and growth executive. With over two decades of professional experience in B2B software and IT services, he has held numerous leadership positions, including Chief Marketing Officer at CMiC; Partner & Fractional CMO at Chief Outsiders; SVP of Global Marketing at GT Nexus; SVP of Marketing at Mobius Management Systems; and VP of Marketing & New Products at C3i Solutions. As a marketing leader of specialized B2B technology enterprises, Mauricio has helped middle-market SaaS and IT services innovators realize their potential by building, leading and energizing high performance teams on a worldwide basis; developing and launching disruptive technology-centric products and services; and driving breakthrough revenue growth. Earlier in his career he led client engagements with Accenture's Strategy Practice and developed state-of-the-art electronic test systems for Schlumberger in Silicon Valley.

Since 2008, Mauricio has served on the Board of Directors of Grupo TQ, a consumer health and pharmaceutical products manufacturer headquartered in Colombia and serving 17 markets across Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition, he is actively engaged with the arts and educational communities, serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees at the United Nations International School (UNIS); active member of the MIT Educational Council; mentor at the Harvard Mignone Center for Career Success (MCCS); and Board Director at LEAP, a nonprofit that delivers after-school arts education programs to 20,000+ disadvantaged children across 140 public schools throughout NYC.

Mauricio has received several honors and recognition, serving as a judge for the Annual Mak Awards for Excellence in Public Relations (twice); panelist at the Business Information Services Leadership Conference organized by the Columbia Business School Alumni Association; and guest speaker at the CRM for the Pharmaceutical Industry Conference. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School; a S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); and a HS diploma with honors (cum laude) from Deerfield Academy. 

Mauricio was born and raised in Cali, Colombia. He moved to the US in 1983 to finish high school and is fluent in English, Spanish and French. Mauricio enjoys travel, photography, water & snow skiing, hiking and kayaking. He is married and has two daughters, one working at Christie’s in NYC and the other attending college at UCLA (UNIS class of ’22). He has lived in New York City since 1995 and travels internationally on a regular basis, including to his native Colombia.
