Junior School Assistant Principal
Alessandra brings 17 years of diverse leadership and educational experience to her role as Junior School Assistant Principal at UNIS. She joined UNIS in 2019 as a Grade 4 Homeroom Teacher and transitioned into her current role as JS Assistant Principal in 2020. Prior to her time at UNIS, Alessandra served as the Undergraduate Education Coordinator at UniRitter/Laureate International Universities in Brazil, while simultaneously teaching in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at the Pan American School of Porto Alegre.
Originally from Brazil, Alessandra holds a Ph.D. in Languages (Letters – Reading and Cultural Processes), a Master's in Education and Cultural Studies focused on human-tech convergence, a Degree in English Language and Literature, and is certified as a Mathematics Specialist for International Curriculum (Project AERO). Most recently, she earned a Certificate in Advanced Educational Leadership (CAEL) from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Alessandra speaks native Portuguese, is fluent in English, and is working towards proficiency in Spanish and French.
