Director of Admissions
Brad Walters joined UNIS in 2023, coming most recently from a large international school in South Korea, where he also led admission and enrollment efforts. Earlier in his career, he worked with a diverse set of independent schools in Queens and the Los Angeles area. Brad earned a B.A. in government from Claremont McKenna College and a J.D. from the University of California, Irvine. He also attended an IB high school, so he knows first-hand the value of an IB education.
There are many reasons Brad has spent his entire career in schools, despite being trained as a lawyer. He takes pride in helping mission-driven institutions succeed. He deeply values supporting diverse and talented students in finding a place to grow. And he thoroughly enjoys working in an environment of eager learners and educators. Brad also believes in being a part of the program he markets and populates. While his core work is with prospective families, you can expect to see him immersed in the activities of the school wherever possible. Brad thinks of this as quality control; he can directly observe whether the students he admits are having the experiences he told them about. Plus, being in a Junior School classroom or on a field with Tut House athletes is much more fun than writing legal briefs.
Brad is also proud and excited that his two sons join him at UNIS each day.
