A Pre-K-to-12th grade, coeducational, college-preparatory day school, the United Nations International School (UNIS) was established in 1947 by a group of United Nations parents to provide an international education for their children, while preserving their diverse cultural heritages.

UNIS arts programs offer opportunities for studio practice, problem solving, and cultural investigation through classical and contemporary music, acting, directing, and playwriting, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, computer graphics, and digital photography.

UNIS has an extensive Athletics program, running across three distinct seasons (Fall, Winter and Spring for students in 7th-12th grades, M3-Tut 4), and consists of 38 school teams.

Pascal Vallet

Junior School Principal

Pascal comes to us from the Lycee Francais in Seoul, Korea, where he was both the Principal of a large Elementary Section and the Regional Director of Academic Technology and Teacher Training for the French Network of Schools in the Asia Pacific Region. Previously, Pascal was Head of an International French school in Bali, Indonesia, a curriculum coordinator in an international School in San Francisco, and a teacher in a school for students with learning differences and social-emotional difficulties in France.

After three years of being the Director of Academic Technology at UNIS, he has taken the leadership of the Junior School Division. Pascal speaks French, English, and Bahasa Indonesian. He also understands Spanish and has a strong international track record for innovation, team-building, and collaboration, while using his leitmotif: "students first" as a guiding principle.
