Sinéad began her journey at UNIS as an M1 math and science teacher before taking on the role of Assistant Principal in 2022.

With a Master's degree in the Writing and Communication of the Irish Language from University College Dublin (UCD) and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Dublin City University (DCU), she brings a robust foundation in both language and educational practices to her role. Prior to joining UNIS, Sinéad spent two years as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Connecticut (UCONN), where she taught the Irish language and acted as an ambassador for Irish culture. She also has five years of teaching experience with the Department of Education and Skills in Ireland where she gained extensive experience in diverse educational settings that enriched her teaching practices.

Fluent in both Irish and English, and with a good understanding of French, Sinéad is skilled at connecting with a diverse student body. She is deeply committed to the principles of inclusion, believing that every student deserves a voice and the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment. Her student-centered approach ensures that the needs and interests of each learner are prioritized in educational practices.

Sinéad values collaboration and works closely with teachers, parents, and the community to create enriching educational experiences for all students.
