UNIS Learning Approach

UNIS and UN Families

UNIS was founded in 1947 by UN parents to provide world class education to their children. We continue this legacy by servicing families who work in the United Nations, Missions to the UN, and Consulates, as well as those families who have relocated from abroad. These families may receive priority admission past the deadline or mid-year in alliance with our founding mission.

Rooted in the values of the United Nations, UNIS warmly welcomes families from around the world and recognizes that thoughtful support is essential when students and parents transition to a new country and school. Through initiatives like New2UNIS, our diverse global community comes together to foster belonging, cultural understanding, and meaningful connections so every family feels supported from the very beginning.
