Providing Access to Education
The Pathways to Education Project, a partnership between the United Nations International School (UNIS) and the NGO VARCE in Osun State, Nigeria, is creating life-changing opportunities for young women through education and collaboration.
In its first cohort, the project welcomed 100 girls, with 96 successfully completing the program and earning their Nigerian GED equivalent. Throughout the year, students from UNIS collaborated with their peers in Nigeria, fostering a unique cross-cultural partnership built on mentorship, shared learning, and empowerment.
This year, we’re taking the next step forward. The project is expanding with the introduction of a new AI learning tool, designed to personalize instruction, strengthen outcomes, and broaden opportunities for all students involved.
