Ties to UN

Students in the Junior School connect with global leaders like Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohamed. The UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are integrated into lessons on a daily basis. From classroom lessons to tours of the UN Headquarters, students experience the mission of the UN first-hand.

Our Junior School cultivates future leaders through programs that develop interpersonal skills and problem-solving, like Peace Tables where students collaboratively resolve conflicts. These experiences build empathy, teamwork, and confidence that carry forward across all divisions.

Global Minds

From a young age, Junior School students develop a global perspective through experiences that celebrate language, culture, and curiosity. Language Days highlight the diversity of languages taught, with activities like flamenco dancing and immersive cultural treats such as Arabic dates and Japanese mochi, giving students hands-on exposure to the world.

Unified Learning

Junior School students engage with Tutorial House peers in fun, hands-on lessons, like learning economics from older students, fostering mentorship and collaboration. Across UNIS, all divisions support one another in initiatives from UN Day parades to bake sales and community fundraisers, building a spirit of connection and shared purpose.
