UNISMUNC requires delegates to keep attire business formal, and dress in western business attire. Examples can include professional dresses, skirts, dress pants, blouses, suits, dress shirts, etc. 

At our conference, it is often that we see delegates wearing suits with ties. Though the attire is traditionally seen more on men, wearing a tie is entirely optional and not limited by gender.

Yes. Accessories are accepted so long as they are minimal. Examples could include simple necklaces, rings, or headbands. While we adore seeing the fashion sense of every delegate, we advise you not to wear flashy accessories that could take attention away from you as a delegate.

If suits are indispensable, wearing business casual outfits would be the best option. Examples include slacks, blazers, collared shirts, etc.

Please refrain from anything you would not see at a formal event. Attire such as graphic t-shirts, sweatpants, tank tops, flashy accessories, and sportswear are examples of attire we discouraged at UNISMUNC.

Yes! Students will get lunch and snacks (vegetarian options included). If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we may accommodate you.

Yes, there is a drop-out fee. Before November 24th, 2025, dropouts are free of charge. After November 24th, the fee is $10 per delegate and $30 per delegation. After that date, full-price coverage is required for dropouts.

We urge delegates to be as active as possible to have the best chance at winning an award. Engage yourself in as many discussions, motions, and presentations for the best chance at success. We highly recommend you provide a position before the deadline, December 1, to increase your chances of winning an award.

At UNISMUNC, it is invaluable to show kindness and respect towards other delegates. Please attend the conference with a diplomatic mindset and attitude. Hostile and unkind behavior towards other delegates will not be tolerated.

Yes, lunch times will be  staggered by a couple of minutes to avoid long lunch lines.
