UN Day

The UNIS community is grounded in the celebration and elevation of global cultures and experiences. We aim to create a space where the voices and traditions of our diverse students and faculty are recognized and honored. Each year, UN Day at UNIS celebrates our close connection to the United Nations and its principles, highlighting the unique cultures, traditions, and experiences of countries around the world. It is a vibrant opportunity for students, families, and staff to share their heritage while engaging with global perspectives.

UN Day Parade

UN Day begins with a festive parade showcasing the cultural dress of our community—a moving and joyful procession celebrating the diversity represented by our students and staff.

Cultural Workshops

Following the parade, students participate in hands-on workshops exploring global issues, cultural traditions, and intercultural exchange. Student-led cultural clubs also lead their own workshops, fostering leadership, intercultural understanding, and appreciation for diversity.

A Wish For Peace

Throughout the day, students place flowers around the UNIS mandala, symbolizing unity, community, and belonging.
